About NEXT IAS Interview Guidance Programme (IGP)

The programme is conducted under the guidance of Shri Bhim Sain Bassi (IPS Retd.; former honourable member of UPSC), Mr. B. Singh (Ex. IES; CMD, MADE EASY Group), and a panel of experts consisting of highly renowned subject experts, psychological experts as well as retired bureaucrats.

The programme adopts a holistic approach to encompass all the important areas of UPSC Interview preparation, such as - thorough coverage of relevant subjects, developing an effective verbal & physical communication, and inculcating good demeanours.

In the Personality test, commonly referred to as the interview guidance programme at NEXT IAS, the candidate gets an opportunity to interact with the esteemed panel members of UPSC. The interview generally lasts for about 25-30 minutes, consists of questions on the candidate’s Detailed Application Form (DAF), Opinions on latest issues, General Sciences, and the Board might even ask situation based questions.

Dedicated sessions to be conducted as part of this programme aim to cover areas which are typically relevant for the interview. Key sessions planned are - Approaching DAF-related Questions by Shri Bhim Sain Bassi Sir, and Tackling Engineering Subjects-related Questions by Mr. B. Singh. Similarly, other areas such as Current Affairs, Home States, Optional Subjects etc. will be covered by relevant subject experts.
